RANAMA initial establishment could be traced way back to November 1988 witnessed a Modest venture between three young entrepreneurs with a determination and zeal to set a threshold in the field of transportation and fabrication od reconditioned drums.

Chronology events of ranama's development

After the initial inception in the year 1988, the phase of development took a momentum.

Trading activities were extended with an investment of 675,000 and with a work force of 125 employees.

The Company also incepted for a diversification from the mainstream of business by starting their own palm oil business.

In the year 1995, a factory cum warehouse was purchased in Pasir Gudang. Subsequently, an Industrial land at Kota Putri Lot No. : 10243 has been purchased in the year 1988 as a need was felt for storage of drums and scraps waste for extension of current business.

Besides in reconditioning and sales of drums the revenue is also generated by means of ancillary.

Industrial analysis

As far as concerned in the state of Johor RANAMA has a firm footheld in processing and sales of reconditioning drums.

It is estimated as per data supplied by Malaysian Iron & Steel Industry Federation, an estimated 2.5 million reconditioned drums are being processed and sold every year. This does not account the new drums made out of mild steel and cold rolled.

As per the industry sources major refineries like Petronas, Shell, Non-Edible Oil manufacturers have started to double their present capacity. This intends to create a demand for reconditioned drums and it is estimated by the year 2000 above, there will be an additional requirements of 2 million recon drum.
